At the turn of the year 2010/2011, the world’s population was just under 7 billion (*1). 80 percent of these people speak one of the 50 most popular languages as their native tongue, and 90 percent of them speak one of these languages as a second language (*2). A total of more than 6500 languages exist (according to National Geographic a total of 6912 languages were actively spoken in 2005 (*3)), of which more than half are threatened with extinction, as they are hardly used anymore and are not passed on to the following generations.
At CL-Communication we can provide translation services between all major languages in a range of specialist fields (see specialist fields). Naturally our translation service includes the most widely spoken languages (e.g. Chinese (Mandarin), English, Spanish, Arabic, Bengali, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, German, Korean, French, Vietnamese, Tamil, Italian, etc.) but also many other "popular" languages (such as Turkish, Dutch, Ukrainian, Polish, Bulgarian, Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Greek, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Serbian, Czech, Urdu, Indonesian, Farsi, Thai, Cantonese, Wu, etc.). And even if your language combination may seem a little "unusual" to you - please do not hesitate to get in touch with us, because for our native-speaking translators those exact language combinations are actually pretty much “usual”.
